Book Fair !!

Hello TVA Families, 

The annual Tecumseh Vista Book Fair is coming up soon! It will begin Thursday, November 21st and end Thursday, November 28th. Mme Lussier's grade 2 class will be visiting the Book Fair on Thursday, November 21st. If your child would like to purchase a book, please send money in their agenda and let me know if there is a specific book you want them to buy or if they can choose any book/item from the Book Fair. The students are very excited and buying a book at the Book Fair is a great way to get them excited about reading!

We're Going On A Field Trip!

Dear parents and guardians, 

Thank you all for sending back the consent forms and money so fast! We will be going to Science City on Thursday, November 7th. I have received a tremendous amount of parent volunteers for this field trip. If you would still like to come with us, we will be arriving at Science City at 9:45 AM and departing around 2:30 PM. Please meet us there as space on the bus will be limited with 3 classes. There is no cost for parent volunteers at Science City, but you may want to pack a lunch. If you would rather attend another field trip later in the year, that would be fine as well. The grade 2 teachers are planning at least 2 more field trips this year. Please send me a note in your child's agenda if you are still planning on attending the field trip.

Toys at School

We have been having some issues with toys at school lately. Some students have lost toys and others have mysteriously gone missing. They are not allowed to bring any toys into the classroom so they have been leaving them in their locker. Please have a conversation with your child about not bringing toys that are special to them or expensive to school. I would hate to see your child lose a special items at school.

Halloween Treats

Dear TVA Families,

If you would like you child to hand out some Halloween treats please ensure that they are peanut-free and also individually wrapped. The students will also enjoy some popcorn and crafts on Thursday. Please write me a note in your child's agenda if you have any questions.

Halloween!

Students at Vista are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes or orange and black clothing on Thursday, October 31st. Please keep in mind that their costumes must be school appropriate; no masks, no weapons, no gore... Also, sometimes parents choose a different or old costume to wear at school so that they can wear their 'real' costume without risking it getting dirty or ripped at recess.

Photos, Magazine Sales and Used Costumes

Hello TVA families, 

Please send in your child's photo orders and magazine sales by Friday, October 18th at the latest. 

We are close to reaching our Ice Cream Party goal so please encourage your child to sell some magazines over the holiday weekend. Our goal is to have each student sell 3 magazines!

TVA is also collecting old and gently used Halloween costumes for children in need. If you have some extra costumes laying around the house, please send them in to school by Friday, October 18th.
